Our Mill, Our Future: A Community Town Hall on Clean Steel

  • Gary Public Library & Cultural Center 220 West 5th Avenue Gary, IN, 46402 United States (map)

They’re building the future of steel. Just not here.

Join us on Thursday, May 28th, to talk about how Northwest Indiana can be first — not last — in line for modern steelmaking that protects our health, our jobs, and our economy.

Nippon Steel has committed to investing $3.1 billion in local steel communities, but hasn’t said how it will be used. We’re calling for the same kind of technological investment happening in other regions.

Northwest Indiana has been home to the steel industry for generations. The future of steel belongs here, too. Come join your neighbors for an important conversation about all of our future.

Event sponsored by: Just Transition Northwest Indiana, Gary Advocates for Responsible Development, Indiana Conservation Voters, Mighty Earth, Industrious Labs.
