Stop the Michigan City Google Data Center Takeover Protest

  • Michigan City Hall 100 East Michigan Boulevard Michigan City, Indiana, 46360 United States (map)

At the last Michigan City Common Council meeting, just a few weeks after the indefinite tabling of a moratorium introduced by Councilors Nelson and Moldenhauer, Councilors Kora and Dabney introduced a new data center moratorium that would effectively exempt the Google Project Maize Data Center and all phases at 402 Royal Road.

Help us come together ahead of this Tuesday's, October 20th, council meeting to tell the Council we oppose this moratorium in its current form and ask them to strike subsection (d)(4) in its entirety, which effectively exempts Google and all future phases of their data center.

We need a moratorium that actually protects our Michigan City communities, NOT Big Tech!

Schedule:

- Protest outside City Hall: 5:30-6:30 PM

- Council meeting: Beginning at 6:30 PM
