Join JTNWI and Decay Devils, alongside Gary Advocates for Responsible Development and other partners, for a family-friendly community portrait and storytelling exhibit. At the event, we will have a public conversation that brings steel w and fenceline residents together through portrait, place, and lived experience.
By centering the people who have shaped The Region and lived alongside its steel mills, the exhibit creates space to recognize shared histories, reckon with different experiences, and imagine a shared future. It is a place where steelworkers and fenceline residents see themselves, and each other, as protagonists in Gary’s past, present, and future.
This free community art event will include a live DJ, poetry, button-making + children’s activities, sweet treats, seasonal refreshments (hot cocoa & cider), and more!
